Things to see

Kaštela is named after the 7 Kastela (Sea Forts) built over 400 years ago between SPLIT and TROGIR to protect the area from seaborn attacks. ‘Kaštel Stafilic’ is right next to your apartment. Although currently a romantic ruin, it may be restored in 2012-13

The city of SPLIT is just 30-40 minute drive away and has a large variety of shops and restaurants, festivals and events. The town of TROGIR, just 15 mins away by bus. This spectacular town is listed as a UNESCO ‘World Heritage Site’ because of its historic interest. Etablished in 380 BC it is now a great place to visit for shops and restaurants. TROGIR is also popular haunt for passing Millionaires whose yachts are often seen in the harbour.

Within walking distance is a 1,500 year old olive tree just 5 minutes away on foot. You can also Visit the graves of two 17th Century romantic lovers: ‘Dobrila and Miljenko.’ Their tragic love story resembles Shakespeare’s ‘Romeo and Juliet’.
