Terms and Conditions

With effect from 1st February 2013

Accomodation prices:
These prices are listed on the website and are available via the online bookings page. These prices may change from time to time without notice. However, once a booking is confirmed this is a binding contract and prices cannot be subsequently raised or lowered.

Arrival and departure:
The expected arrival time for all apartments is after 1400hrs. Any change to this arrangement must be made by negotiation, with either the Owners or the appointed Property Manager.

All guests will be expected to handover their passports shortly after arrival at Apartment Aromatica for submission to Croatian Officials, who may take copies. This is a legal requirement and normal practice for Croatia and many other European countries. Passports will be returned the evening before your departure, or earlier by special request.

The expected departure time is 1200hrs on the day of your departure. It is possible to keep your luggage in a safe place within Apartment Aromatica until you are ready to depart for the airport and your flight home.

Payments and deposits:
It is normally expected that 25% of the agreed charges for accommodation will be paid to confirm your booking and secure your chosen apartment for the period specified. Payment of the balance must include a refundable security deposit of £100 and any optional extras you have selected, such as a ‘Welcome Hamper’ or the ‘Meet and Greet’ service. The final balance is due 4 weeks before your arrival date. Payment can be accepted by all major credit cards via Paypal. Alternatively, cash or cheque may be accepted.

Maximum occupancy:
Prices are per apartment per week, not per person, although there are maximum occupancy rules which must be adhered to as this is a requirement in Croatian Law. Maximum occupancy in the ‘Olive’ and the ‘Rose’ Apartments is 3 persons. The ‘Citrus’ Apartment is a studio apartment and can only accommodate 2 persons.

Changes to booking by customers:
When a apartment reservation is made, both the guest and Apartment Aromatica enter into a legally binding contract. Apartment Aromatica offers accommodation on certain terms and the guest accepts the offer – a contract. In the event of a reservation being cancelled, for whatever reason, Apartment Aromatica may claim a cancellation charge, which could be a substantial sum equal to the total reservation if within 2 weeks of arrival. Apartment Aromatica, on being informed of the cancellation, will endeavour to re-let the accommodation, although this may not be possible especially out of season. Together with an administration fee of £15, this may modify any refund. We would therefore politely draw your attention to this and recommend holiday cancellation insurance.

Changes to booking by Apartment Aromatica:
If changes to booking arrangements become necessary due to the apartment being ‘inoperable’ in some way, the Managers will offer similar accommodation nearby, this may require some adjustments to the charges and any optional extras that were ordered. Changes under these cirumstances will be done by individual negotiation. If the alternatives we offer are not acceptable a full refund will be made of all fees paid. A small consideration may also be offered to the customer as a gesture of goodwill.

Discounts such as ‘Early Bird’ or ‘Last Minute’ discounts may be changed or withdrawn with no notice at the discretion of the Managers. This will not affect any arrangements of this nature already entered into. Additional discounts may be added or withdrawn at the discretion of the Owners. This also applies to ‘Special Break Prices’ and ‘Offer Code’ discounts.

Offer codes:
Please note that offer codes are in addition to other discounts such as ‘Early Bird’ and ‘Last Minute’ bookings. This means that customers can make significant savings on their Croatian holiday by combining a discount with one of the ‘offer codes’ below. For example, an ‘Early Bird’ discount of 20% can be combined with an ‘Armed Forces’ Offer Code giving an additional reduction of 10% to your apartment costs. Only one ‘offer code’ and one ‘discount’ to be used per booking.

Offer code must be used when making initial online booking. Offer codes can change from time to time without notice.

Airport meet and greet:
The Airport ‘Meet and Greet’ refers to the arrival of the party of up to 3 people and the charge for this service is described on the website. This service does not include your return to the airport at the end of your holiday. However, Apartment Aromatica can arrange to call a local taxi that will take you back to Split International Airport at your request. However, once the taxi arrives, the taxi fare in the correct currency will be the responsibility of the customer. Naturally, we will be pleased to help you with translation or currency issues if required.

If customers require Apartment Aromatica to arrange transport to the airport using Apartment Aromatica resources, this is an additional service that can be provided if there is sufficient notice given (48 hours before departure date/time). However, the charge for this will be the same as the ‘Meet and Greet’ service.

Prizes and Competitions:
‘Recommend a Friend Prize’: Any former guest who recommends ‘Apartment Aromatica’ to a friend, colleague or acquaintance who subsequently books an apartment will receive a £20 Gift voucher (or cash equivalent). Maximum of 3 recommendations (ie total of £60 gift vouchers per person, per season). The booking must be made for a minimum of 1 week. Offer only applicable to UK residents.

No smoking policy:
Smoking is NOT allowed anywhere in Apartment Aromatica or for a range of 5 meters from the main doorway. Customers found to have smoked or allowed smoking in the property will also incur an additional cleaning charge of up to £100 and may also result in being asked to leave the property.

Lost keys:
Customers are issued with one set of keys for the duration of their stay at Apartment Aromatica. These are special multi-lock security keys and are difficult and expensive to replace. Customers who lose these keys for any reason whatsoever will be charged £50 for their replacement.

Breakages and theft:
There is no ‘damage waiver’ as such and small breakages such as glasses or plates are accepted without charge by the Managers. However, wilful damage to the property, theft or breakages to expensive items such as furniture, windows, doors, plumbing or electrical appliances will incur a reasonable charge for their repair or replacement.

Welcome hampers:
Please note that the precise contents of the Welcome Hamper may change from time to time based on availability and changes in local prices. We will do everything we can to ensure our customers get the best quality and best value and make up any deficiencies with something of equal worth and value. The cost of our hampers may change at the owners discretion to reflect changes in local prices.

The price of the contents for a £22 Standard Hamper will be at least equal to £18 with the balance of £7 going to the shopper as their fee. The price of a £35 Luxury Hamper will be at least equal to £28 with the balance of £7 going to the shopper as their fee.

Please note that the wicker basket used to contain the hamper contents may be used when shopping locally if required. However, it may not be permanently removed from the apartment as this will incur a charge for its replacement.

Complaints can be made in writing, or via email to the Managers at any time. The satisfaction of our customers is paramount and we will do whatever we can to address and/or redress legitimate complaints. If we have fallen short of your expectations we would be grateful to hear your views and the facts relating to the complaiint and any relevant details that have caused inconvenience or annoyance to you during your stay at Apartment Aromatica. Please mark the subject of any email as ‘Compaint’ so that we will deal with this matter most urgently.
